While each of the facts above may prove very little in themselves, taken together, and then along side the great body of related evidence, it becomes clear that the ‘official story’ of the attack on the Pentagon includes some highly counter-intuitive assertions, and omits a number of inconvenient facts. Do they really expect us to believe that the Secretary of Defense found out about the first plane crash, then went back to his office and had breakfast with Paul Wolfowitz and Chris Cox, hearing nothing of the direct threat to his life, or the biggest attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor for nearly an hour? Why didn’t Dick Cheney warn the Pentagon? How could the Secretary of Defense be out of the loop? Demanding informed consent, government oversight, and criminal justice, the public have a right to these answers.
As with a majority of information surrounding the events of 9/11, here we find facts that have generated no official response. Analysis will not be found in the mainstream media, or on podiums at the academy. Finding these answers will require that we learn the most important questions, and find the best sources for answers. And these answers require that we read, think for ourselves, remain critical, and adapt.
In the process of seeking answers we have to be weary of those who would deceive us, or unintentionally misinform us. The nature of the Truth Movement is such that many institutional forces operate to undermine our cause from without and within. As a result, those seeking the truth, have to take care to not be drawn to distraction by fallacious speculation or outright disinformation.
Early in the movement, some came to speculate that a plane did not hit the Pentagon. Over time, this hypothesis was effectively challenged and refuted, as evidence supports the impact of an aircraft. However, some have since chosen to ignore the available evidence, and continue to make this assertion. Whatever their intentions, it is essential that we focus on only the best supported facts related to this issue, and find sources for those facts that do not equate fact with fantasy.
Dick Cheney’s command authority on 9/11 is an explicit fact, while what caused the hole in the Pentagon is not. One strongly suggests opportunity to commit the crime, while the other leads to speculation and possible distraction.

“Hani Hanjour, who investigators contend piloted airliner that crashed into Pentagon on Sept 11, was reported to Federal Aviation Administration in Feb 2001 after instructors at Pan Am International Flight Academy in Phoenix found his piloting skills so shoddy and his grasp of English so inadequate that they questioned whether his pilot’s license was genuine.” 1
“One Washington flight controller will later comment, “The speed, the maneuverability, the way that he turned, we all thought in the radar room, all of us experienced air traffic controllers, that that was a military plane.”…One law enforcement official who will study Flight 77’s descent after 9/11 will call it the work of “a great talent … virtually a textbook turn and landing.” 2
“Starting at 8:56, flight controllers repeatedly called for Flight 77 over the radio and received no reply. [Military radar was able to track all the hijacked planes, even while their transponders were turned off]…West Virginia flight controllers finally noticed it entering their airspace around 9:05… Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon at 9:38.” 2
“Supposedly even Defense Secretary Rumsfeld and his top aides in their Pentagon offices remained unaware of any danger until the Pentagon was actually hit, even though the conference call was being run out of the National Military Command Center inside the Pentagon itself!” 2
