I don't doubt this. Especially since some of the very people most responsible for the situation in America today were oddly enough, former oil executives now in charge of the government. Not coincidentally, the interests of the oil companies has not been left behind in their rise to power. I just posted an article here about how the Bush administration is blocking an investigation into the EPA with "executive privilege". This is a vicious circle of criminality.
