I think Gore Vidal suspects that it was more than LIHOP. He knows that to maintain his national standing to be able discuss the destruction of the republic by BushCo, he can't seem to be "way out there".
I agree with your assessment of Vidal's position and I fully support him. Unlike some people in the movement who start screaming bloody murder when they hear LIHOP, I think it is an important gateway to seeing the truth. And conscious LIHOP, is basically the same thing as MIHOP.
Amy Goodman, on the other hand, won't even cover the immense case for government foreknowledge and LIHOP.
