I remember hearing Chomsky speak once where someone asked him about his personal life. He said that his family did not ask for the repercussions imposed on them resulting from his choice to be an academic activist. I sometimes think this might be an allusion to the reason he keeps quiet about 9/11 and other shadow government conspiracies. He has three children, so don't expect him to break character anytime soon.
