Wow. Sad. I wonder how much money is being spent on this? Do we think anyone is going to realize a major new commitment to environmental activism after going without lights for an hour? As I said over on the Obama Whitehouse garden thread, symbolism is not meaningless. But if the best we can hope for in an international action is one hour without tv, I'm not feeling optimistic.
In fact, in some ways, this may actually reinforce people's pessimism. Is there even a way to measure the result?
