A few years ago I found a credible source saying that Taleban had offered in the spring of 2001 to turn bin Laden over to the USA or to the Saudis and neither was willing to take him.
I mentioned this at a meeting of the truth alliance, and people did a double take--"The spring of 2001?"
The spring of 2001. My friend at the meeting, the best researcher on these issues that I know, validated my claim.
I've gotten myself into a debate at Quora in which people are demanding proof. Of course many of those now-13-year-old news stories have now vanished from the web, and it appears that the ones upon which I relied 2 or 3 years ago are now gone.
Does anyone have any information on this issue?
