Fires demolish skyscrapers in Brazil and Iran

no malicious intent, the fires were apparently accidents

but it demolishes the claim that fire cannot cause high rise buildings to collapse

basing 9/11 "truth" on the controlled demolition claim was a strategic mistake (as intended by its creators)

Brazil fire: São Paulo building collapses in huge blaze 1 May 2018

A 26-storey building has collapsed after being engulfed in flames in Brazil's largest city, São Paulo, killing at least one person. More than 150 firefighters are battling the blaze which is thought to have been caused by a gas explosion. The high-rise had been occupied by squatters. Fire authorities said they feared more people were trapped inside. Witnesses said flames spread quickly from one of the lower floors and set an adjacent building on fire. ....

The building collapsed after 90 minutes.

São Paulo Governor Márcio França said the building was an accident waiting to happen but that its residents had resisted leaving. "That type of home is uninhabitable, staying there is looking for trouble," he said speaking at the site of the blaze. Capt Marcos Palumbo of the São Paulo fire brigade said that modifications made by the residents had allowed the fire to spread more quickly. "The lifts had been taken out and those empty air shafts formed a chimney. There was also a lot of combustible material, such as wood and paper which helped fuel the fire," he said.

Tehran fire: Twenty firemen killed as high-rise collapses

19 January 2017 From the section Middle East

State TV was broadcasting live as the building collapsed

At least 20 firefighters were killed when a high-rise building in Tehran caught fire and collapsed, the mayor of the Iranian capital has said.

Two hundred had battled the blaze in the landmark 17-storey Plasco building for several hours before it fell to the ground in a matter of seconds.

Another 70 people were injured, 23 of them seriously, in the incident.

Completed in 1962, the building was once Tehran's tallest and contained a shopping centre and clothing workshops. The cause of the fire is not known, but several officials said managers had been warned about safety issues.

Little was left of the 17-storey Plasco building after it crumbled to the ground

The fire reportedly began on the ninth floor at around 08:00 (04:30 GMT).

Initial photos showed flames and smoke pouring out of the top of the building.

Ten fire stations responded to the blaze and state television reported that dozens of firefighters were inside the building when the north wall collapsed, swiftly bringing down the whole structure.

One of the firefighters told AFP news agency: "I was inside and suddenly I felt the building was shaking and was about to collapse. We gathered colleagues and got out, and a minute later the building collapsed."

"It was like a horror movie," the owner of a nearby grocery shop told Reuters.

Rescue workers and sniffer dogs searched the rubble for several hours before Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf announced that 20 firefighters had died.

Earlier, he said that "no ordinary civilians" were believed to be missing, but witnesses told the Associated Press that they had seen some people slip through the police cordon in an attempt to retrieve their possessions.

Some business owners were later filmed by state TV trying to enter the ruins.

Others who survived unscathed had to be consoled by colleagues

Masoumeh Kazemi said her two sons and a brother had jobs at one of the many clothing workshops inside the building. "I do not know where they are now," she told the Associated Press in tears.

Police officers have cordoned off Jomhoori avenue, which passes by the building, as well as the nearby British and Turkish embassies.

Fire department spokesman Jalal Maleki said it had repeatedly told the building's managers that it was unsafe, and that it had lacked fire extinguishers.

President Hassan Rouhani has ordered the interior minister to investigate the incident

"Unfortunately, there were loads of goods inside the building and its staircases and none of the safety measures had been observed." he told the Isna news agency.

The Tasnim news agency reported that the building "had caught fire in the past".

President Hassan Rouhani ordered Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli to investigate the incident, calling it "extremely sad and unfortunate".

The Plasco building was built by the Iranian Jewish businessman Habib Elghanian and was named after his company, which manufactured plastics. He was executed after the 1979 Islamic Revolution after being convicted of spying for Israel.

9/11 Truth was never based on the controlled demolition hypothesis.

It was based on the widows' 300 questions, only 27 of which were adequately answered, and 200 of which were completely ignored.

It was based on the inadequacy of the official reports -- both the 9/11 Commission report and the government reports about the collapses of the towers.

Before 9/11, and up until 2017 no highrise towers had ever collapsed from fires. Of course the Plasco building, at 17 stories, is not very high.

Suddenly within less than two years we have two collapses. Have insurance actuaries modified their algorithms and insurance agencies upped their premiums?

The 747 crash that knocked down part of an Amsterdam apartment building happened in 1992.

9/11 "truth" as a slogan is long gone. It's become a laughingstock for most of the country.

There are no unexplained inadequacies about the collapses of the towers, the real evidence of complicity never had anything to do with that.

Put options on United and America. 15 countries providing warnings. Able Danger (DIA). Coleen Rowley and other rank and file FBI agents. War games simulating actual events. NSA stand down. NORAD stand down. Failure to follow standard procedures during the attacks.

It's hard for those whose egos were attached to this demolition "explanation" to admit making a mistake.

The problem with your put options and war games and stand downs is that they are all conspiracy theories. You and I are willing to consider that they might be valid, but a lot of people are not. The Petition of Solidarity has 18,545 signatures. http://www.justicefor911.org/

We all know the 9/11 Commission Report is crooked as hell. Why are you so skeptical of the proposition that the reports on the three skyscrapers are just as crooked? The government's spokesperson, Catherine Fletcher, admitted that the government did not analyze the collapses of the twin towers, and cut off their computer models at the moment the collapses began. She admitted that the government could not explain the total collapses of the towers. That right there makes the government reports unacceptable.

The Architects & Engineers petition has 22,000 signatures from lay persons, and 3020 signatures from credentialed architects and engineers. The petition advocates new investigations that consider the possibility that explosives were used to bring the towers down.

Controlled Demolition is the first thing people equate with 9/11 truth. It's also the easiest claim to dismiss as crazy.

Put option, warnings, war games have been acknowledged by officials and the media in a way that CD will never be.

They have very successfully subverted the 9/11 movement. It's not something I want to be associated with and I rarely talk about it with anyone. I blame the movement's acceptance of CD as THE central issue for this further marginalization off the map.

What if all that mobilization for controlled demolition answers was converted into simply asking about the most solid questions?

I took a look into the insider trading claims for the first time in years. The official dismissals are very suspect. They basically say, "Yeah, there was some highly suspicious activity, but we checked it out and there was always an innocent explanation."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11_conspiracy_theo...

The SEC and the FBI, aided by other agencies and the securities industry, devoted enormous resources to investigating this issue, including securing the cooperation of many foreign governments. These investigators have found that the apparently suspicious consistently proved innocuous.[74]
