This underscores the failure of the MSM to provide an adequate forum of public discourse. People were actively discussing these issues in the 1970s and early 1980s, then something changed. Everything got dumbed down, and the public discourse all but vanished. I have the strong sense that we have been intentionally led down this path to disaster. There have also been some very misguided religious leaders who have resisted addressing these issues.
