O'Brien explains at length why some people, including many who were close to King, believe the late James Earl Ray's insistence that even though he pleaded guilty to the murder in 1968, he didn't do it.
Like most conspiracy theories, the doubts here rely largely on conjecture and shadowy reports about links or evidence someone may or may not have seen.
