The State Department is investigating whether Israel’s use of American-made cluster bombs in southern Lebanon violated secret agreements with the United States that restrict when it can employ such weapons, two officials said.

If martial law is not declared and the new congress dissolved before it is even installed, the PRD is sworn to create a monumental ruckus, shredding the tarnished decorum of this once-solemn event.

“It was never the intent of the framers (of the Constitution) to give the president such unfettered control, particularly where his actions blatantly disregard the parameters clearly enumerated in the Bill of Rights.”

The video also clearly shows the commander of the unit saying, “This is Lebanon!” as he orders his force to fire on retreating demonstrators, and “I will not allow a demonstration during wartime!”

“Suspicion of wrongdoing ran so deep that the commission, in a secret meeting at the end of its tenure, debated referring the matter to the Justice Department for criminal investigation.”
